                                                           Alagappa University

 
             Alagappa University is accrediated with 'A' Grade by National Assessment Accreditation Council (NAAC). It is recognized by University Grants Commission (UGC). The motto of Alagappa University is 'Excellence in Action'.
 
           The University has 15 Departments, 3 Centres and 2 Constituent Colleges. It has 36 affiliated colleges. The main campus of this university is spread across over 440 acres in Karaikudi.
 
Facilities in Alagappa University:
      

             Hostel Facility - There are three hostels – two for men and one for women students of the University. The hostel rooms are well furnished and well ventilated. There is provision to accommodate around 500 students.

          Health Care Centre - The University has a Health Care Centre for early diagnosis of diseases and reference to speciality treatment, if needed. Compulsory general medical check up camps are organized for all the members of the University.

            Canteen -  A Canteen is functioning at the University campus for the benefit of the students, faculty and staff. It is run on contract basis. As it is located very close to the Distance Education Directorate, the students of DDE also make use of this facility.

            Banking Facility - The salaries of the faculty and staff are distributed through the banks viz. Indian Bank and ICICI Bank. The students are supported while opening the bank accounts. They are available in the vicinity of the University Campus.
