Like it or not, you’re finding that you need some help in the bedroom. You may not think you’re old enough to experience it, but impotence (known today by the more politically correct term erectile dysfunction, or ED) has entered your life.
For the past decade you’ve been seeing ads for Viagra, the “little blue pill” that’s supposed to offer a pick-me-up in this department. You probably even know some guys who use it, although none of them have ever told you they do. Guys usually don’t talk about stuff like that.
So now you’ve decided to go on the Internet to get some Viagra, mostly because you don’t want to go to a local doctor and the corner drugstore and be seen by someone you know, like your Aunt Edna or the guy in the cubicle next to you at work. You’ve heard that you can get generic Viagra over the Internet cheap. Well, maybe you can.
But don’t do it.
There’s No Such Thing as Generic Viagra
It’s no surprise that more and more people who are totally unconcerned with the health and welfare of others are trying to make a quick buck by manufacturing, if you can call it that, “generic” Viagra. The trouble is that there’s really no such thing. Generic drugs are drugs that are manufactured after a brand-name drug’s patent protection has run out after 20 years from the date of submission of the patent. And even then, a generic drug has to have FDA approval to legally be on the market.
If you decide to order online, go with a legitimate established company that handles only FDA-approved drugs. There are quite a few online pharmacies in Cyberspace that have been in business for years, mainly because they are secure and honest. These companies require a prescription, or a consultation with a doctor they work with who will require some medical information from you. One of these companies is eDrugstore.md, which also offers a health section on its website that will answer some of your questions about Viagra and other drugs. The mark of a company (using the word loosely) that doesn’t care about your welfare is when that company doesn’t ask you much of anything about yourself, and just offers to ship you some “generic” Viagra.
So They May Say It’s Sildenafil…
The active ingredient in Viagra that makes it work is sildenafil. People manufacturing “generic” Viagra are selling what they claim is sildenafil tablets. But without FDA approval, how do you know for sure what you’re getting?
But Does Counterfeit Mean Generic?
Erectile dysfunction is a very real medical condition, and Viagra was developed to be a treatment for it. It's nothing to be embarrassed about or ashamed of, and there's no reason you shouldn't have anything but the best when you're trying to solve a problem that can affect your life and your relationships so seriously. It only makes sense that you should take a legitimate medication to help solve what is a legitimate medical problem. When you buy counterfeit or “generic” knockoffs of Viagra or other drugs that there are technically no generic versions of, you run the risk of getting something that could hurt you, or worse, and that might not even work when you do take it, leaving you wondering if the problem is with the medication or if it's something more seriously wrong with you. So don't risk it. Make sure that you only order the real deal when you go online.
