CD Duplication is defined as the copying or "burning" of an existing Audio or Data CD or Disc Image onto blank CD-/+R or CD-/+RW. This process is most often used to copy CDs when the number of copies needed is less than 1000 pcs.
The quality of a duplicated CD if done correctly should be excellent. The most important factors in duplicating a good CD is: choosing high quality blank media, burning audio at no higher than 16X, verifying the integrity of the master, leaving the burn uninterrupted. This almost inevitably results in very high quality disc.
There is a general perception that duplicated CDs are of lower quality than CD Replication(pressed CDs), however, this is largely due to the fact that most of the consumer blanks available are of low quality. Low quality blanks will yield low quality CDs that will skip or will not be recognized at all by your CD player or computer.
