Christopher P. Hess, M.D., Ph.D. holds the title of assistant professor in the Department of Radiology at the University of California, San Francisco. Before joining the UCSF Neuroradiology faculty, he trained both as a resident and fellow in the same department. His graduate training at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign focused on signal processing in magnetic resonance imaging. His current interests lie in magnetic resonance diffusion imaging and in ultra-high field neuroimaging using 7 tesla MRI, particularly in regards to studying movement disorders, epilepsy and other degenerative disorders of the central nervous system.
