I am a retired pulmonary physician with a long-standing interest in COPD and Emphysema breathing strategies to provide dyspnea relief. Much of this involves related Chest Physiotherapy techniques. I am particularly interested in the developing patient self-care and empowerment movement, directed at those in the home environment who have not had training in breathing techniques to relieve shortness of breath attacks. These are adjunct techniques to the usual medication programs.
