Art of Meditation

Meditation is going beyond the Mind. it does not mean destroying the Mind but be in a spontaneous, relax and aware state. Meditation is living from moment to moment


Meditation is an art to live life moment to moment, enjoying this moment as it is with out any projection or Mind conditioning. Meditation is a State but not a technique to be followed. meditation techniques helped us to reach the state of Meditation but ultimately all meditation techniques have to be dropped.

What is Meditation:

Meditation means going beyond the Mind. it does not mean we Drop the Mind and there is no need to drop the Mind. its such an beautiful instrument. we need Mind to make living in this world. Meditation is the art of not using Mind when its not needed.
normally 24 hours a day our Mind is thinking some thing or other, even when its not required. In Meditation Mind is given a rest. In Meditation state we enjoy what comes in life with out any expectations, any conditions and we tackle the real life things as they come. Moment to Moment decision taken from our awareness.

What Meditation is Not:

Meditation is one of the most misused term these days and many people do wrong practices in the name of Meditation. Meditation is neither concentration nor Contemplation. In Concentration we narrow down the Mind to one thought or aspect.

e.g suppose we are conversing in a market place with some one. Naturally we can hear so many noises but we ignore all of them and pay attention to the person with whom we are conversing. this focusing is concentration and it ultimately makes the Mind powerful. But in Meditative state we dont avoid any thing nor we try to attract any thing. the way life is flowing we flow with it and we take our decisions from our consciousness or awareness.
now in the above example of Conversation with a friend Mind is very much needed to converse. focusing was essential to talk. so Mind and concentration have the use in our real life but like any instrument they should be shut off when they are not needed.

Changes with Meditation:

In Meditative state the constant chattering of Mind is stopped and we feel utter silence and beauty. this is a state of unbound Joy and we feel complete in ourselves. life looks beautiful. but we will still feel hungry, thirsty and sleepy. so we are still living in this world like any other human being but our response to life has change, our attitude changed. 

Meditation do have physical benefits too: 

Meditation Slows the Ageing Process and very good for Heart. All the diseases and side effects which comes with lack of sleep, tension, anxiety are automatically avoided. our Sleep improves and we sleep very deep and we feel very fresh when we woke up next day.

Meditation techniques:

To Reach the Meditative state we need to start with a Meditation Technique. All meditations Techniques may not suit every one. Ideally there is at least one meditation technique which will suit as and that meditation technique will click immediately. so the trick is to Try some meditations for some time and see which meditations align with us. When any meditation suits us then we will come to know immediately. 
No one can tell any pointer about this aspect. its like when we eat some thing tasty we immediately like it. same is the case with the Meditation which will suit us.

secondly with time as we grow in meditation we will see changes in our meditation technique. Our technique will evolve on its own. its better to let it happen, move with the flow.

Meditation is a twenty Four Affair:

Many Meditator meditates for some hour and think that they have meditated enough. This is not Right.
One Hour of Meditation can not Fight with 23 hours of unawareness. Meditation is a state of Being. Meditation means the way we do things. what we do does not matter But how We Do it that matters.
As we go deep in meditation then the Silence and Grace of meditation reflects in our actions also. Slowly we have to bring the Meditation in our daily actions. 
Meditation is a way of living life. a life that is far better and richer
