Around the World is a yo-yo trick that combines the Sleeper, the Forward Pass and some looping, which causes the yo-yo to do a circle over your head. The trick looks great if it is done correctly. Follow these steps to perform the Around the World.
Wind the yo-yo string around its axle all the way and put the string loop around the middle finger of your dominant hand. Grasp the yo-yo firmly in your palm.
Throw a Sleeper with your yo-yo in front of you. This throw is called a Sleeper Forward Pass. You must be able to perform these throws before you attempt the Around the World trick.
Move your arm backward in a circle while the yo-yo is sleeping, making the yo-yo swing over your head backwards and around to the front in a complete circle. Face your palm upward as you perform this trick.
Give a tug on the yo-yo string when the yo-yo is in front of you after it has gone around in a circle once or a few times.
Grasp the yo-yo in your upward turned palm as it returns up the string and back to you.
Things You’ll Need:
A yo-yo with a fixed axle
Tips & Warnings
You can't perform this trick with some of the cheaper yo-yo models. This trick is best performed with a yo-yo with a fixed axle, which has a clutch that makes it easier to bring the yo-yo back up from the bottom of the string.
