Tech Trash Evangelism

Cyber recycling that pleases God

Tech Trash Evangelism (tte) uses junk pieces of computers as metaphors, without technical terms, to share God’s love and one’s faith.

 Purpose:

  1. Associating lessons of love with computer objects in non-technical ways is a wonderful way to attract the attention of youth.
  2. Using junk parts enables every burdened person to acquire teaching tools.
  3. tte is a powerful way to link youth and silver-haired folks in their joint efforts of missions.

Computer Parables is a free downloadable PDF resource of ‘clubhouse’ short stories that demonstrate tte.

 Below are just two.

Tte is a segment of SpaceGate zero-budget evangelism that can include backyard mission fairs and production teams of tte kits to be sent to home and foreign missionaries.

Schoolhouse Mouse Metaphor

  1. It’s more advantageous to use an older computer mouse with a ball in the bottom.
  2. After removing the small screw of a computer mouse, cut the majority of the cable off and disfigure the mouse cover with markers etc.
  3. The following are just a few of the lessons that can be taught by this tte tool that fits in anyone’s pocket for spur of the moment lessons to encourage and uplift:

Hygiene, cooperation, self-worth, superior design of humans, diversity, don’t judge a book by its cover, feet made for skidding, two computer eyes that work, all ages needed, reaching out… just for starters.

Junk Keyboard Metaphor

Cooperation, organization for speed, self-worth, superior design of humans, diversity, don’t judge a book by its cover, two kinds of feet, and reaching out.

The letter keys in the keyboard can be used (in place) as a contest naming the attributes of Christ starting with the letter chosen. This was done with resounding success in a class of FIRST GRADERS! A more active variation of the contest is to smear the removed keys with peanut butter.

Caution: Junk parts should be disinfected, sharp edges rounded, and small parts removed that could be swallowed. Work.Space Programming, its authors, and Google shall be held blameless for injury, real or imagined, in the use of the above ideas.
