Mpumalanga capital city

Nelspruit is the capital of Mpumalanga and has a wealth of cultural and historical attractions.

It is the hub of a large fruit growing region, supplying among others, mangos, oranges, pecan and macadamia nuts.

Nelspruit has many beautiful hiking trails, a crocodile farm the Sudwala Caves and the Lowveld Botanical Gardens.

Nelspruit became the capital city of Mpumalanga in 1995 and was founded in 1905 by three brothers of the Nel family. It has two airports, the Kruger Mpumalanga International Airport and the smaller Nelspruit Airport.
