White River

Mpumalanga Town with easy access to the Kruger Park

White River is found approximately 27km's from Nelspruit and is a popular tourist destination. The name White River refers to the colour of the water in the near by river which is caused by the high amount of Kaolin present in the water.

White River is home to the Butterfly Garden, a fantasy world of gorgeous butterflies and a petting zoo for the children.

White River was born out of the irrigation farming scheme for unemployed British soldiers returning from the Anglo-Boer war, established by the government of Lord Milner.
