I am a senior at the University of Idaho in Moscow, Idaho, majoring in journalism and minoring in political science. In May 2007, I earned an associate of arts degree in journalism from North Idaho College in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho.
I currently am the opinion editor and a Web editor of The Argonaut, the University of Idaho's student newspaper. While at North Idaho College, I spent one semester as an assistant editor before spending my final year as the news editor of The Sentinel.
I currently am the afternoon news clerk at The Moscow-Pullman Daily News.
My interests include analysis of media and politics, particularly the relationship between both institutions; technology, particularly Web 2.0 and open-source, collaborative media; Japanese language and culture; and increasing public awareness of politics, current events, and technology.
