What are the Disney World Ticket options?

Disney have a number of Disney ticket options. Sites such as Disney World Tickets describe the different options in detail, but in a nutshell here's a description of the tickets.

Magic Your Way Base Ticket

You start off with the Magic Your Way Ticket. You may have heard this being called the “base ticket”. This ticket gives you one days entry into the main Disney World Parks (Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Disney’s Hollywood Studios or Animal Kingdom).

You can buy up to ten days entry on your Magic Your Way ticket and cannot visit more than one park on any given day. To do this, you need to add the Hopper option to your ticket.

Also note, this ticket expires fourteen days after its first use, so if you buy a five day ticket and only use four days at the theme parks, you’ll lose the extra day.

Disney Hopper Ticket

Simply put, if you want to visit more than one park in a day you need to add the Hopper option to your ticket. Visitors do this for added flexibility, for example you can visit the Magic Kingdom during the day, followed by viewing the fireworks at Epcot in the evening.

Waterpark Fun and More Options

Disney has other attractions such as the Typhoon Lagoon water park, and Disney Quest. If you plan on visiting these attractions the Waterpark Fun and More addition to your ticket is a cheap way of doing this.

Non-expiry option

The standard base ticket expires after fourteen days from the first day of use. You can pay extra and add the Non-expiry option to your ticket. This means any unused days on your ticket will never expire.
