INSTRUCTIONS FOR AUTHORS

Chapters are published with Google's Knol application. Anyone who is knowledgeable about the matter is welcome to become a collaborator of any Collaborative Book. However, to edit or contribute to the main content, you must  be a qualified professional. The author who creates a chapter will be considered the main author and authors who later edit the text will be considered contributors.

How to create a new chapter

  1. First check whether that chapter is needed in the book index (list of books below). If the chapter you want to create does not exist in the main index but you still think it would be suitable, please, send an email to info@imedpub.com. We will create to frontpage and then you can handle the book.
  2. Then sign in in Knol and edit the chapter.
    • Configure the knol as moderated.
    • The text should be published using the author guidelines.
    • Titles of sections should be formated as Heading 2 (H2).

    • References should be provided for every evidence and displayed between brackets (Author, year) and listed by alphabetical order at the bottom of the text.
  3. Periodically check whether any comment or suggestion has been written by readers. We recommend you subscribe to notification emails in the Knol Settings panel.

How to collaborate in an existing chapter

How to join?

I would like to join your group as I have several new book projects at planning stage? Do you want someone coming in from the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industry side with expertise in clinical trials and new drug development? I have very high stakes in the quality of healthcare information with its standard checks, peer review and bioethics.

I have noticed the progress made in several ongoing Knol medical book projects. The availability of several good medical knols only require organization and collection efforts by the medical community of knol authors. Why these projects have not been highlighted?

I would like to invite all the interested medical experts as coauthors of my two knols, the second for a to be created new medical collection knol. If you visit my knol and write in a comment, I can invite you. Let me know.

Increased Healthcare Costs- What can be done?

Pharmaceutical, Biotechnology, Diagnostic, Medical Device Industry and Medical Knol
Will be split into Industry and Medical knol book
