Often times either through the methods above or others devious ways, we will get pop up warning messages that windows has detected a spyware infection.  The most important thing to remember is these warnings are FAKE.  Yes your computer does have spyware but the message is a fake designed to serve two functions:

• Steal your private information like passwords, credit card, and bank account numbers and sell them on the black market.
• Infect your computer further and use it as a launching board to spring attacks against others.
