Landing page optimization is the process of modifying a Web page for the purpose of increasing conversions. Conversions are not limited to sales. A conversion can be the completion of an e-commerce transaction, completion of a lead generation form, an extended period of time spent on the page, multiple page views beyond the landig page, or any other metric that the Web site owner deems valuable. Landing page optimization often involves the use of multivariate or A/B testing.
