First I want to say, that I´m completely shoked! My famely owns icelandic horses long before They came to the USA. the good thing is, that there are some people which critisize the bits. first: an Iclandic is an Icelandic an not a tennessee etc. When I see the pictures I see not only wrong bits and theyr handling. I see also disharmonic trainee effects in the whole body. The best possibility to ride an icelandic horse is: don´t push them to something. don´t have a hard hand. train young horses first with a sidepull without bit, than ride signal its a littlebit like western. than make dressage. this is the ground to get a good harmonic icelandic horse. Nether have a hard hand. Use never an expander etc. like a lot of tennesse trainer use. The icelandic bit is only for trainee. a horse must run every lesson with an double broken bit, not to thik.Invite trainees from Germany. They are professional since more than 50 years! Please take care of these wonderful natural horses and don´t destroy them. A lot of people are on the best way to destroy them like the pictures show.
