Step by Step Instructions for Making This Holiday Card
- Cut a piece of card stock into a rectangle that is 8 1/2" by 5 1/2 ". Fold it in half as shown in the picture.
- Using brown die ink, stamp the sentiment, "Wishing you Joy in the bottom, right hand corner.
- Using a separate sheet of white card stock and brown die ink, stamp the Chestnut Lane stamp TWICE.
- Using brown die ink, stamp Santa Silhouette over the chimneys in ONE of the Chestnut Lane stamped images.
- Tear the image with the Chestnut Lane and Santa Silhouette out of the card stock, allowing the edges to be uneven.
- Using the powder blue chalk ink, color the edges of the torn image. This creates a soft, shadow effect on the edge.
- Apply several dimensional glue dots or dimensional adhesive to the back of the torn card stock. Adhere this to the front of the folded card, arranging so the stamped sentiment is visible.
- Referring to the second image of Chestnut Lane, and using good trimming scissors, cut out the small tree, the large tree and the house.
- Apply dimensional adhesive or dimensional glue dots to the back of these three elements. Adhere them to the front of the torn image, placing them over top of the original stamped elements.
- Using your green glaze pen, add some green to the trees. Color the wreath on the door green, and color the tiny decorated tree in the window green.
- Using the red glaze pen, color the bow on the wreath.
- Using the white or pearl dimensional glue, apply "snow" to the roof tops, the door step, the evergreen trees, and around the lines that indicate snow banks.
- Using the diamond and blue glitter glue, apply dots randomly all over the front of the card. This represents snowflakes falling.
- Using 3-D adhesive, attach the blue ribbon to the bottom left corner of the card.
Your card is completed. Add a message or sentiment inside if desired.
