PlayStation 3

A video game console desgined by Sony launched at the end of 2006.
Along with the Wii & the X-Box it belongs to the seventh generation of video consoles; one of its main feature is the video format of High Quality, the Blue-Ray. It is currently the third console of its generation in term of sales.


Review of the PS3


  • The quality of the Blue-Ray is excellent; every use of the Playstation 3, watching movie, play games & surf on the Internet, takes advantage of it. Note also that the sound is of great quality 
  • Playing online, downloading games, online chat.. the PS3 Internet capabilities are up to the name. Maybe the most advanced of the seventh-generation consoles. However, there is an issue when using Wi-Fi: the PS 3 uses eleven frequencies when connecting to the Web, the main ones being the first, the sixth & the eleventh. It can happen that if you play in an area with much Wi-Fi, those canals tend to overlap, creating interferences.
  • The cable-free controllers suffer no defaults; they use the Bluetooth technology and it is possible to play with up to seven of them.


Main Games on PS3



  • Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare

The story is evolving through a variety a scenarios, from the Middle East to former USSR; the  graphical nuances are simply phenomenal, the animations suffer no defalut, and  the sound puts the player into the story of the game.
The game offer an excellent multi-player gameplay, and the game is hard enough...call of duty may be the best game on PS3.   





  • Resistance: Fall of Man
Apart from few clipping problems, the visual aspect is very good overall, the sound adapts very well to the environment and the game is difficult enough. Last but not least, the gameplay allows up to 40 players...


  • Grand Theft Auto IV
An excellent character-driven story; one playing GTA IV would almost feel Liberty City live...only few visual flaws would slightly alter this renowned game that can be played up 16 players.


  • Tomb Raider UnderWorld

For this new game of the adventures of Lara Croft, the animation and graphics are of quite good quality. The only
issue would be occasionnal slowings, but the overall impression is excellent.


  • Assassin's Creed
This game is amazing; fluid, balanced between action & plateforming gameplays, excellent design and souds... the only tiny visual flaws are to blame...
