I obtained my PhD in psychology from University College London, working with Professor David Oakley at the UCL Hypnosis Unit. Working in collaboration with Dr Stuart Derbyshire we conducted fMRI neuroimaging studies looking at the effects of hypnotic and non-hypnotic suggestions for pain control. I completed a 3-year postdoc with Professor Chris Brewin at UCL using neuroimaging to investigate post-traumatic stress disorder. I am currently completing a doctorate in Clinical Psychology at Royal Holloway, University of London.
