5 Sales Training Tips
Whilst the credit cruch is affecting everyone in all sectors, there are still tried and tested methods to get more sales. Here are 5.
1. Think Big
Why not consider targeting larger companies or different customers than you normally do? Large companies and multinationals have to get their products and services from suppliers the same as every company and customer do. Why can't it be your company?
2. Don't Procrastinate
If you keep finding reasons and excuses not to call people, then perhaps your competitors are. As a salesperson you should be constantly looking for new customers, and if you don't call them now, you could miss out.
3. Call Them Now
If you call the hardest or most unlikley target first, then you may get a positive outcome, and if you don't, you can plan the rest of your day knowing that you have already made the hardest phone call of the day.
4. Be Prepared
Make sure that you have all the information you are likely to need before making your calls. If you are unprepared, or don't know the answers to common questions you will look unprofessiona.
5. Write Down Your Goals
By having your goals in front of you on your desk, and at home and perhaps even in the car, you are much more likely to be motivated enough to reach your goals. These goals could be hitting your target, making more commission. They can also be getting to speak to a certain company or getting a new client in a new sector.
Whatever you sell, and however you sell, there are always things that you can learn to make you more successful. Don't you owe it yourself to be a better salesperson?
