The Knol Team have given us a few new levers to play with in the search toolkit. I set up the one below. It is the Top English author ranking based on work contributed since the public launch on 23 July 2008. See Norman, I told you I could find a way to get you back to #3. Of course only bettered by an Aussie at #2. (Don't tell #11 Murry)

I'm noting a slow down in new CBCT installations. This may be a consequence of the global recession. At the same time, dental practices continue to promote themselves in blogs and press releases. It's understandable that dental care suffers during recessions and dentists turn to promotion to gain patients.

What a nice surprise -- I got an e-mail from Joorok Park, DMD, MSD at Arthur Dugoni School (UoP), thanking me for the directory and adding a second CBCT to the directory. Thanks, Dr. Park.

Hey Murry I saw your comment about Black Box. I am viewing this in Firefox and everything looks OK apart form one 'crash' I had in loading and a 2nd long load time. I think you may have overloaded the system. Ultimately, search engines can black-list pages that 'lock up' on loading because it impacts badly on their product (fast load time). I suspect that this is what happened to one of mine, because it was on Google for a while, then it disappeared. It had about the same load time as yours.

The issue I had was using photo's with too high a resolution. While you are sizing it small on your Knol, the image kept in the Knol Image Box still creates and overload on the system, and I found you can not delete the offending photos. You can go out to a photo software and reduce the dpi on photos to 76. Apparently this still gives satisfactory viewing on computer monitors. Mine were set at 1,200!

Im not sure what you should do here but I would start deleting those images that are simply repeats and eventually replace them with 76dpi ones. Good luck.
