Dr.
Noshir R. Mehta is Professor and Chairman of the Department of General
Dentistry, Director of the Craniofacial Pain Headache and Sleep Center
and Assistant Dean of International Relations at Tufts University
School of Dental Medicine in Boston, MA. Dr. Mehta has been treating
TMJ patients for the past 30 years with a multidisciplinary approach to
the diagnosis and treatment of TM Disorders. Under his Directorship,
the Craniofacial Pain Center at Tufts has expanded to include treatment
of all aspects of head, face and neck pain in addition to dental sleep
disorders such as bruxism and sleep apnea. The center currently treats
approximately 2,000 new patients a year, referred from all over the
world.
Dr. Mehta is Board Certified by the American Board of
Orofacial Pain and is a Fellow of the International College of
Dentists, Fellow of the American College of Dentists and Fellow of the
Pierre Fouchard Academy. He is Editor in Chief of Dentistry India and
sits on the editorial board of several other publications. In
addition, he is the Chief Editor of the upcoming textbook "Head, Face and Neck Pain: Science, Evaluation and Management."
Dr.
Mehta teaches and lectures both nationally and internationally and has
published extensively on the diagnosis and treatment of bruxism and
T.M.J. Disorders.
