Permanent Hair Removal with Enzymes

The unique properties of EpilaDerm® are found in the high activity of the enzyme complex at the moment of application onto the skin. In-Vitro-Laboratory-Tests (Fig. 1) confirms these unmatched "proteolytic-protein-dissolving" properties.

1) Epilation:
Remove unwanted hairs by epilation preferably with the EpilaDerm®-Epilation paste; alternatively by waxing. A perfect epilation of the hairs by means of sugaring, sugar wax or waxing is imperative to assure the efficacy of the post epilation treatment with the enzyme complex thus producing the effect of permanent hair regrowth reduction. If you are epilating the skin by traditional waxing, please note that any wax residues should be removed with the strips and that usage of oil based cleaners is not allowed before applying the enzyme complex. In addition to this, the usage of perfumed cosmetics, self tanners, make-up or deodorants, as well as sport, solarium and sunbathing should be avoided within the first 24 hours after an epilation with waxing or by sensitive skin with sugaring.

2) Treatment with the Enzyme complex:
Thereafter successively apply the EpilaDerm®-Enzyme complex (phase1) & EpilaDerm®-Accelerator (phase2). Thereby massage the same amount of both gels for approx. 1 minute thoroughly into the skin - thereby being allowed to penetrate into the open and empty hair follicles to unfold is unique enzymatic activity.

For best results the EpilaDerm®-Enzyme complex & Accelerator should be applied immediately after the epilation where the hair follicle is still open and free of hair. It is therefore advised to divide larger areas, such as legs, back and chest into smaller treatment areas. For instance first complete the treatment of the left lower leg before treating the right lower leg. The same procedure should be followed by armpits, chest and the back.

By very thick, difficult and deep rooted hairs (for instance the back by men) it is possible to increase the efficiency by using an Ultrasonic device with 1-MHZ-Impuls in conjunction with the application of EpilaDerm®-Accelerator (phase 2).

3) Repeating the treatment:
Make the next appointment within the next 2 to 6 weeks depending on the treatment area. Typically 12 to 18 such successive treatments are required! It is important to maintain a regular treatment cycle in order not to miss any hair growth cycles thus optimizing the results.

4) Inform your customers about the long term effect from permanent hair regrowth reduction:

Due to the natural hair regrowth cycles it is biologically seen not possible to achieve a 100-percent hair free skin. Not all hair follicles in the skin are active at the same time, and some hair follicles are programmed to be activated for the first time in 2 or 12 years (so called sleeping follicles). Therefore over time new hairs can grow and additional post treatments can be necessary.

Also hair growth can be influenced and induced by hormones, for instance due to pregnancy, age or use of medication, by stress as well as changes in climate, and can have an impact on the long term effect of the treatment for permanent hair regrowth reduction.
