I really like the internet, since the very early times when the gopher protocol was just launched. I believe in the promise of the world wide web of informing everyone all over the world.
The difference in knowledge about a topic between two persons being mainly the difference in the time they've spent documentating themselves on the web concerning this topic.
A ten year old can nowadays find as much good information about a topic as a scientist could find half a century back.
The revolution in knowledge spreading is as amazing as it was when the printing press started publishing the great thinkers in the Renaissance.
I believe that Google Knol is just one more step in the direction of informing the world about all the knowledge gather by its peoples worldwide.
