Tips and Tricks from people who use SearchWiki
A few things people have been asking about in the blogosphere and on user groups. Please add your own by editing this knol! Thanks.
If I delete a result for one search, will it be deleted for all searches?
No, deletions are specific to a particular search term, they don't affect other searches.
If I change my nickname will it affect how my name appears in gmail?
No, your Google nickname is different from the display name gmail uses. Your nickname can be changed by clicking on "My Account" on any Google page.
SearchWiki with sound effect
You can choose to add some whoomp to your deletions, with Sergey's dubbing of the kaboom effect. Check out the experimental search page for this and other search experiments.
I don't understand where my nickname will be shown
Your nickname may be shown next to public comments you make if they are displayed. Your nickname will not be associated with web pages you delete or promote to the top.
