Introduction:

Alagappa University is located at Karaikudi in TamilNadu, which is nearby Madurai and Trichy.(Two hours travel from these Airports). It is founded by great philanthropist Dr. RM. Alagappa Chettiar. It is recognised by University Grants Commission (UGC) of India.

Different Modes of Education at Alagappa University:

Alagappa University offers courses in four different modes, namely Regular, Week-end, Distance and Collaborative modes. In Distance Education mode, the university offers different programmes for students all over India and some selected Foreign Countries. Through all these modes, the university serves around 1,00,000 students.

Indian and International Collaborations of Alagappa University:

Alagappa University is a member of Association of Indian Universities (AIU), Association of Common Wealth Universities (ACU) and it has international collaborations with Universities in countries like China, Malaysia, West Indies, U.S.A. and South Korea.

Facilities at the Alagappa University Campus:

1. It has Well furnished Hostel facilities. Seperate hostel for Men and Women.

2. It has Health Care centre for Students, the health care center conducts periodic Medical checkup for Students with free of cost, colleges in and around the university were also getting served by this Health care centre.

3. General facilities like Canteen, telecom centre, post office, Banking, Employer's Quarters were available within the campus.
