I trained as a leatherworker back in the 1970s when I owned and operated a number of leathergoods shops making, marketing and selling bags, belts, clothing and accessories and writing business features for numerous magazines.
As computing came to the fore in the 1980s and 90s I switched direction and spent many happy years as a freelance business & technology journalist whilst running a busy, full service PR and marketing agency.
I have finally returned to my roots and now run a small wholesale leather manufacturing business and work as a freelance media and marketing consultant to a very select range of retail operations.
My clients have included English Heritage, The National Trust, M&S, Microsoft, Adobe, Canon, AOL, Yahoo and others.

My interests include medieval history, fine food and good company.
