MORE ABOUT REG CROWDER ...

Today, he writes regularly for publications on both sides of the Atlantic. He reports regularly for the specialized business publications of the US-based DealFlow Media Inc. Crowder serves as a Contributing Editor to several DealFlow Media titles, including The Life Settlements Report, The Structured Settlements Report, The Distressed Debt Report and the Reverse Merger Report. DealFlow Media recently received notice in the business media in connection with its acquisition of PrivateRaise.com.

In the United Kingdom, Crowder contributes regularly to the print and online magazines of Campden Publishing Limited of London. For Campden's magazine, Families in Business, he has written about the European M&A (mergers and acquisitions) market, trends in hedge fund investing, how to avoid getting burned by a bad hedge fund, the merits of various types of offshore registration for yachts and aircraft, the advantages offered by the new corporation and trust laws of the British Virgin Islands and the often overlooked benefits of the UK's Venture Capital Trusts.

Crowder also writes about the dark side of globalization for the London-based online magazine, Tax Justice Focus.  In one article he revealed that the British government  had exempted - virtually unnoticed - all of the British offshore tax havens from the provisions of the United Nations Convention Against Corruption.

A LITTLE BACKGROUND ...

While in the United States, he wrote about commercial real estate for many years for Crittenden Research Inc. His work at Crittenden included serving as editor of The Crittenden Directory of Real Estate Investors & Buyers. At the time, the directory was commonly described as the "Bible of Commercial Real Estate in America."

He received numerous awards from the US Army for his achievements in information management and productivity improvement.  Crowder's positions with the US Army included Chief of the Information Mission Area (IMA) Services Support Branch, US Army Information Systems Command-Sierra, and Senior Management Analyst for the Sierra Army Depot (SIAD).

Crowder holds a Bachelor's Degree in Journalism from the College of Journalism & Communications at the University of Florida, Gainesville, Florida. He engaged in two years of graduate level research and study at the Center for Latin American Studies, also at the University of Florida.

He has served as president of the University of Florida student chapter of the Society of Professional Journalists and as president of the Greater Jacksonville, Florida, professional chapter of the Society of Professional Journalists.

Knol Collection for Freelance Writers

Dear Reg --

I'm inviting you to consider free participation in a Knol Collection of Freelance Writers. My own work has produced some outside interest and it occurred to me that other writers might like to shoot for new client business this way.

You can read about Knol Collections here: http://knol.google.com/k/knol-help/knol-collections/si57lahl1w25/238#. You don't have to write anything in the Collection, but you'll want to tune up your personal About Me statement and bio page.

I've already assembled an unpublished draft Knol for the collection. If you wish, I can shoot you an e-mail with the Knol's content.

I hope you choose to participate. Just respond to this comment with a Yes or No. As soon as we get to four or five freelance writers who say Yes, I'll publish the Knol and you'll be able to join in for the world to see.

Best regards,
Murry Shohat
