I'm from Perth in Western Australia but for the last 3 years I've been living and working in London.
During the day I'm a software developer with over 10 years experience in GUI application design and development. I got my honours degree in Computer Science at UWA back in 2000, before putting that theory into practice. I spent the first few professional years writing applications for and on offshore oil rigs and support vessels, but since moving to London I've been safely ensconced in big shiny buildings in the Square Mile.
I generally write client-side applications in C# .NET, but I've been spending an increasing amount of time playing the the various Google API libraries, including the various gData feeds and the Google Mashup Editor.
Lately Android has caught my eye and I'm looking forward to publishing my first book, Professional Android Application Development in November.
You can read more of my ramblings at my blog, The Radioactive Yak, where I've been known to pontificate on cricket, earthquakes, my ever increasing library of fiction, and my old home town of Perth as well as my favourite topics of Android and writing software.
