Sarah Zhou

Sarah Zhou was born Sarah Katharine Wilson, in Meridian, Mississippi to a mother Patricia DuBose, from Meridian Mississippi and a father, Stanley Wilson III, from Baton Rouge Louisianna. Sarah spent her early life living between Mississippi and Florida. As a child, Sarah enjoyed riding horses and attending to pet cats, dogs, horses, cows, and donkey's belonging to her aunt and uncle in Mississippi. By the age of ten years old, Sarah and her parents settled permanently in Maitland Florida to be near her grandparents, who also lived in Maitlland three houses down the street from Sarah's parents' home. Sarah enjoyed the typical Florida child's life by playing outside with friends, climbing trees, swimming in her family's and grandparent's pools, and playing with any nearby cats and dogs. Sarah played the flute beginning in the second grade throughout all of her high school years. Sarah studied Latin in middle school, which helped to begin a lifelong love for the study of the French language and culture. Sarah attended Lake Sybelia Elementary, Maitland Middle School, and graduated from Edgewater High School in Orlando in 1992. Sarah earned her associates of arts degree  from Valencia Community College while working for a variety of Darden Restaurant's concepts including Red Lobster and Bahama Breeze. She also worked for The Ritz Carlton Hotel in Amelia Island as a full time room service attendant and and an occasional banquet server. Sarah was close to completing her degree in elementary education at the University of Central Florida when she became pregnant with her first son. She had to halt her education due to complications from preeclampsia in her first and second pregnancies. Sarah continues to suffer from high blood pressure as a result of her serious preeclampsia in both pregnancies. Sarah has continued to stay at home to provide childcare and education for her three sons, one of whom suffers from Aspergers syndrome. Sarah's eldest son, is a senior at the University of Florida. He is her husband's first son from a previous marriage and Sarah claims him as her own! Sarah has been married for nine years to a wonderful man from Chongqing China. Sarah has visited Asia twice with her husband and children. Sarah enjoys traveling, cooking, learning about other cultures, caring for pets, spending time with friends and family, and volunteering in her children's school. Sarah enjoys helping other parents who also have children or loved ones who are diagnosed with an autism spectrum disorder.
