Anne Helmenstine

I'm a scientist and author. I've worked as a writer, researcher, college professor, and consultant. I have a Ph.D. in Biomedical Sciences from the University of Tennessee and B.A. degrees in Physics and Math from Hastings College. I have four children, a clever cat, and a not-so-clever Welsh Corgi. I live on the coast in South Carolina, where you'll find me in the water whenever I'm not on a laptop. I keep aquaria, make jewelry (earned a living as a designer for a while), garden, play and compose music, and have a fondness for video games.
