Paris: Is the capital of France and the center of Europe. The term Paris comes from Latin meaning “ Civitas Parisiorium” or city of the Parisii (origin is unknown).
Paris has been called the city of light. It is a famous hub of the sciences and the arts. Poets,writers, and artists have revelled in it. The city takes pride in its flair for fashion and exquisite food. It is the heart of love so commemorated by its many storks.
Baudelaire, Rimbaud, Artaud, Victor Hugo, Voltaire, Rousseau, Montesquieu, Gauguin, Toulose Lautrec, Braque, Pasteur, Daguerre, Lumiere, inform its walls and whereabouts.
Paris is the city that generated great changes in modern society. The tearing down of the Bastille on July 14th 1789 launched France’s revolutionary era. The French monarchy fell bringing forth the great changes that modern society enjoys today.

Paris grows on the banks of the Seine River. The Pantheon celebrates its heroes. The law school at the university of Paris displays Liberty-Equality-Fraternity as the basic tenets of a new society.
The Triumphal Arch is dedicated to the great battles fought by the French nation.The Bastille monument is dedicated to the 14th of July of 1789 marking the beginning of the French Revolution.The Trocadero area celebrates modern art with the Louvre Museum, the Austerlitz Triumphal Arch, the Tulleries Gardens, the famous Eiffel Tower, a universal Parisian icon,The Notre Dame Cathedral, the Montmartre Sacred Heart basilica and many other important locations.

As a poet would say: “I would like to die on a rainy day in Paris."
