Catch Fish Like The Pros:
This unfortunately is a very bad thing since once you can experience that fish on the other end and feel the adrenaline rush through your body as you know, you must bring this fish to land. The fish can be as little as that little sunfish to a beautiful trout or as large as a blue shark no matter the size you must be able to bring it to land or to the boat to see your catch.
The Fishing Trip of a Lifetime:
The experience of catching that fish of a lifetime will be with you as you grow up into elder ages sharing your experiences with others. Just put yourself in the shoes of a child going fishing for the first time, your parents go out to Cabalas, Bass Pro Shops, Dicks Sporting Goods or a local tackle shop as they pick up a fishing rod and reel and a tackle box filled with new gear as they ask the sales person at the tackle shop a few tips and tricks for the lake they maybe fishing or taking that youth on a camping trip. The parent wants this to be the child’s experience of fishing to be a fishing trip of a lifetime he can tell those stories when he grows up. Then you get to the lake and setup to go fishing and forget those useful encouraging tips that the sales person told you about fishing with the gear you just purchased. As you work your magic on taking the fishing line and the hooks out of the package you are wondering if you remember those knots you learned back in Boy Scouts or the Military as you begin to put things together, the entire goal of this trip is to catch one fish, something to talk about. “Right”
Once you have successfully figured out how to attach the hook to the fishing line you then move to adding the bobber or weight, so many choices. “What to do?”
You get all setup to sit and wait for that fish to bite that wonderful tasty fat earth worm that you think would do the trick and all the sudden something happens as the rod bends and then it stops. You both jumped out of your fishing chairs as you both get really excited as you saw this fishing rod move from something tugging the other end almost like it was a fishing saying hello. But then nothing what happens?
You both sit back down and do this over and over until you get to the point where you want to about pull your hair out of your skull and go swimming for that fish that just bit your bait. You keep telling yourself "here fishy fishy" please just eat the worm so we can bring you in.
As the day passes you are going to do this again and again and sometimes that is all you can say you did. This is where a ton of new anglers get disappointed and stop fishing as they give up never to fish again. The trick is simple as with everything technology evolves and people find ways to improve ways of doing things just as they have done for centuries.
How to Catch More Fish:
What I am about to share with you has been a great secret at most lakes only for the simple fact it “works” and it almost never misses a fish. I have known it to miss a few fish here and there but even as an experience angler I know that setting a hook takes time, patience and a ton of practice. However if the hooksetter is faster than the fish you can almost guarantee you will never miss. A castable spring loaded device has been one that I have found works the best and is most reliable even in the most toughest conditions including saltwater. Each species of fish are different in the way you must fish for them however one thing always stays the same. A sharp hook, strong fishing line, natural baits and a good knot with the combination of an automatic hooksetter, the fish cannot get away right? This means you can turn a fishing trip into a catching trip, now that means fun for the entire family.
This is the part where I need to introduce you to the “AUTOMATIC HOOKSETTER” it kind of sounds like a star wars type thing but really it is true. There are many kids of hooksetters out of the market and I have tried most however I have recently tested one that beats them and that is the SNAP’r for many reasons. However before I go into any detail on how this device works, I mainly use this device when help with organizations such as C.A.S.T. for Kids Foundation as this program takes disabled children fishing for a day on the water and the program is compiled with volunteers all over the United States and hopefully soon will be worldwide. The hooksetter is used for many of the children that normally would not be able to set the hook but can enjoy the rush of the fishing experience as they are help with reeling in that big fish.
Types of Automatic Hook Setters:
- Castable System
- Spring Loaded System
- Adapter Holding Rod Tip Loaded
- Capsule Loading System

Many people say that using such device is cheating however if you can take a kid fishing as they can enjoy this experience, they can work to learn the other skills needed down the line to be a better angler in the future.
