Shampoo  of  all types (except those containing selenium Sulfide ) can be  recommend that you use often, even every day - without fear. It  is recommended that you use different types of shampoo, to take advantage of their different mechanisms of action. The  shampoos  should  be  left  on the scalp  for  at least  3  minutes.

Although topicals  containing steroids allow fast relief of  symptoms   their  prolonged   use  is  not  suggested . In addition  a fast  exacerbation of the  symptoms  can  be  expected  once the creams  are  stopped.

A  better   solution is   dermatologist'   prescribed   ointments   containing  sulfur,  salicylic  acid   and  anti  fungal  compounds.
