Religion
America is a secular nation, with seperation of Church and State written into its Constitution. However, religion greatly affects policy within the U.S., as a large amount of Americans are Christian, and Christians have a powerful voice in the country. Laws that do not entirely reflect the "separation of Church and State" still exist, such as "under God" being present in the pledge of allegiance, and Christian organizations receiving state funds.
